BetterYou expands its NHS-prescribable oral spray range with Vitamin B12 listing

UK supplement brand’s Boost B12 Daily Oral Spray joins its Vitamin D range on the British National Formulary, as the brand continues work to expand its NHS-prescribable portfolio further

BetterYou, the UK’s leading pioneer of intra-oral nutritional spray technology, has confirmed that its Boost B12 Daily Oral Spray is listed on the British National Formulary (BNF) with an active NHS product code and price, making it available for GPs to prescribe alongside the brand’s established Vitamin D oral spray range.

The listing marks the latest step in BetterYou’s presence in NHS prescribing. Together, the Vitamin D range and B12 listings mean BetterYou now offers NHS-prescribable oral spray options across two of the most commonly deficient nutrients in the UK population.

Boost B12 Daily Oral Spray delivers 1200μg of methylcobalamin per daily dose, using the same buccal delivery technology behind BetterYou’s Vitamin D range, which has been the subject of clinical research conducted with Cardiff University since 2017.

Andrew Thomas, Founder and CEO of BetterYou, said: “We’ve worked hard to build the evidence base behind our oral spray technology, and having B12 join our Vitamin D range on the BNF reflects that. This is very much part of a longer journey. We’ve more in development, and we’re committed to expanding what’s available to NHS prescribers.”

The B12 listing is part of a longer-term strategy: BetterYou is continuing to work on further additions to its NHS-prescribable range, with more updates expected in due course.

BetterYou’s oral spray technology has been the subject of 11 published clinical studies.
